Hi Jaaynee,

I feel it is appropriate to actually develop
a strategy and to do some cleansing specifically
because yeast and parasites are both issues which
can cause cravings and weight gain. Certainly
Liver Flushing is important not only to cleanse
the body's filters, but since the liver is also
associated with emotions, this allows the body
to bring these feelings up to be dealt with.

The Master Cleanse is effective in giving yourself
a "time-out", so you can examine your relationships
with food and like you say, decide the level of
your commitment to yourself to either keep the
old habits and behaviors which put you where you
are, or to replace them with ones which will
contribute to health and wellbeing.

Losing weight is a process and not just limited to
the one decision, to make good food choices. There
are plenty of people who eat too much of good
food, do not exercise, and do not look at good
body maintenance as a comprehensive plan which
includes feeding not only the physical but
emotional and spiritual hunger.

I just posted this earlier so wish to share the symptoms
of parasites so you can see the relevance of doing
parasite cleansing. Its some of the basic stuff
which comes before dealing with the deeper
emotional issues which keep us from sticking with
choices which would better serve us...

In the U.S. diarrhea caused by intestinal parasites is the third leading cause of illness. Gas, diarrhea, chronic constipation, bloating, fatigue, skin rashes, nail biting, mood swings, insomnia, dry skin, brittle hair, hair loss, weight gain, bad breath and muscle cramping are a few common symptoms. Because parasites can occur anywhere in the body, the symptoms can as well. Parasites contribute to major diseases including Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, arthritis, and rheumatoid symptoms, diabetes, some heart disease, asthma and others.

I do agree that *learning* to eat better is important.
I also feel however, that cleansing can be a valuable
part of that process.

be happy, be well,
Zoe
