As far as releaving the gas problem,I can relate to that. I've done the week long fast/twice daily colonics in effort to get rid of gas. It helped the gas some but not completely. It did get alot of stuff out of the colon.Since it comes out during the colonic, it is something for you to consider. Their are profesionals that do colonics and the advantage is they can externally massage your colon(abdoman) to get the gunk out better.Also since you have no feeling down there you would have to be really careful if you did it yourself.
Am currently doing the Clarkia with family of 5. We are on day 7. One person had one episode of loose stool so far. It may have alot to do with what parasites you may have and how bad they are.
I really think that if you haven't tried probiotics that you should.If you were on Antibiotics after your injury that may be a major contributing factor to the gas. The good bacteria in your gut were killed and never fully recovered. I would get some
high potentcy quality acidophilus & bifidus. I've used DDS Plus but their are others. The bifidus may not make it thruogh digestion to the colon where it's needed so introducing by colonic or enima is an option.
Eat yougurt with live cultures. Don't go for the lowfat or fake sweetener stuff.
Try to eat plain & add a small amount of jam to flavor it( to keep Sugar levels down),
Also in addition to the above get some digestive enzymes to take with meals.You may have to experiment with different ones to find what your missing to stop the gas.
Also if you want hard stools,eat cheese. Not the processed or american but real cheese. Don't eat too much if you are not used to it or you can plug up.
