i would shoot for means that immediately begin fighting viruses.

oil of oregano is effective against a great many viruses
below is a link to the site where i get mine at the highest carvocal% (85%) ratio available.
it is very concentrated, so you need to dilute just a couple drops with a couple drops of olive oil etc..

zapping is very effective also at fighting viruses

no it is not painful *), in fact you feel nothing...
it is administering a low voltage current for x amt of time
daily to disintegrate live viruses parasites etc.

i will also look up some antiviral herbs you might consider using.
