I haven't had any serious Sugar cravings surprisingly, which I think may be due to all the cultured veggies I've been eating. I haven't made any yet, but I need to because it's very expensive to buy them. I buy the Rejuvenative Foods brand at the health food store, and also homemade CV's made by the therapists at my colonic center. If I start to feel myself slipping into temptation I remember that this diet is one you absolutely cannot get away with cheating on because the goal is to get the candida under control and eradicate it, and if you periodically cheat with sugars you allow it to invigorate and blossom again and all your previous effort has been wasted to a great extent.

I've found nuts challenging too. I haven't had any that aren't allowed but find I tend to overeat on the almonds and pumpkin seeds, so I've decided to not have them at all for a while. Actually plain pumpkin seeds I can handle okay in my salads, but if I season them and dehydrate them, they're a big temptation. I've had popcorn a couple of times and felt I was cheating though technically it's allowed. I popped it in coconut oil and sprinkled with Sea Salt and nutritional yeast, which my colon therapist assures me is allowed.

I have mostly been eating huge salads with homemade dressing: lemon juice, garlic, and coconut oil, which I love. I choke down the Vitality Supergreen with a raw egg and ground flax seeds for breakfast sometimes, not tasty but energizes me wonderfully. A squeeze of fresh lemon juice helps make it a bit more palatable.

Tonight I had a good supper with a huge amt of green beans, a good sized portion of cultured veggies and the best part, red potatoes which I cut into eight pieces tossed with coconut oil and cayenne then baked until little crispy brown spots formed, yum! Again, I ate too many. That 80/20 rule is hard sometimes but I stick with it for the most part.

I haven't really done any recipes yet which is odd cause it seems a huge amt of my time is consummed doing this diet! I've never prepped so many raw veggies in my life! I also like to stir fry carrot sticks with fresh ginger and garlic....another yum! I find I'm much more sensitive to the natural sweetness of veggies and even water now that I'm not eating Sugar and this also satisfies my need for sweetness I think.

I love the BED grains.....well not so much the millet. I season with cconut oil and Sea Salt . There's a health food store near here that sells raw butter which I've been meaning to go for. It's sold for "pets" since it's illegal to sell raw dairy in this state, and many others.

Last couple of days I've been making lemonade with stevia which is pretty good though it's taken me a while to get used to stevia as I don't really like it and don't find it to be really sweet like sugar, and it's supposed to be so much sweeter than sugar!

Can we not have nut butters? I bought Pumpkin Seed Butter, thinking to use it as a base to mix veggies and spices in and roll up in a lettuce leaf or nori.

Please share your favorite recipes! Have you been to the BED bulletin board and looked at the recipes posted there?
