I also lurk around a Yahoo Forum for costochondritis, trying to lure people from the "dark side" to the shining light of alternatives. Can you imagine my dismay when I saw this little piece of advice from that forum:

You hav`nt said what meds you are on and for what. If you are not on
pain meds, I would strongly advise that you see your doctor about
them. Possibly an anti-depressant/anti-anxiety med too. I take
morphine and hydrocodone daily in addition to anti-depressants and
they help just enough to keep me sane. Give it a try. Jim
