I'm posting this for my friend who has a 8 year old non-verbal daughter. The 8 year old who has autism has been picking at her private area non stop. The mom thought she had a yeast infection and tried treating it but the problem did not go away. She then had her daughter tested for yeast with a urine and stool sample......and nothing. Something is really bothering this child........anyway, I know parasites can cause intense anal itching, but what about vaginal itching? I know this child has pica for a while and stuck everything into her mouth........even insects. Anyway, the mom and I are stumped on what could be going on. If this is a sign of parasites, what kind of parasite could cause this?
