Well, with all due respect, my stance is that fearing animals is ridiculous. First, pet owners ARE everywhere. They're on every street, in every store, where you work, etc., etc. Second, there are tons more things that give you parasites than animals - lettuce for one, people who don't wash their hands for another.
If you're on a parasite maintenance program, that should serve you fine. The point is not to avoid parasites at all costs - the point is to keep clearing them out of you - and that definitely includes having a body that can keep their numbers at a minimum to begin with - being healthy to begin with will do more for avoiding parasites than taking herbs constantly and avoiding animals. I would never keep away from my sister's dog. Let her lick me. And I would never not kiss someone I wanted to kiss.
I guess that sounds a bit harsh - not meaning to. All just my opinion.
