Hi,

I've actually been reading this list serve and trying to do a few cleanses over the past few months. I've concluded that I have some type of irritated bowel syndrome, or at least that my digestion and elimination is quite sensitive. (Part of this is because I have pinworms, which I'm also trying to cleanse). At least half the time, my stools are watery and have undigested food. Does anyone have any advice?

I started taking Dr. Schulze #1 and that was way too much for me--I was going 6-8 times a day! Now I am on P&B shakes and Cleanse Smart herbs from RenewLife. Cleanse Smart is much easier on my system, but the problem is that whenever I miss the supplements for a day or 2, I get totally clogged up. That's scary--is that my body forming a dependency on the laxative properties of the herbs?

Anyway, my question is, will I be distorting my digestion and elimination any further by continuing on the P&Bs? Or should I try to take some herbs to regulate my elimination first, before doing a bowel cleanse? I actually think I have seen Irritated Bowel Syndrome herbal programs at the health food store..

Also, I guess that I was thinking that I should take some bowel-cleansing herbs withthe p&b shakes, which is why I started the Cleanse Smart. Are p&bs alone enough to cleanse the colon? are there any helpful herbs that should be taken? At this point I think that my best option is to begin P&Bs again (I stopped for the last week as I've been really il with the flu) without any of the supplements. The main reason I want to do a thorough Colon Cleanse is to follow up with a good parasite cleanse (I am currently taking anti- parasite herbs as well)--that is my main issue!

Thanks for any advice you can possibly provide,
Jes
