I think it depends on the source. If the chicken is conventional or even the healthfood store no hormone no Antibiotic (but not organic) kind I think the answer would be no (because pesticides and toxins are concentrated in the fat). But if you are eating a pastured chicken then I think it would be fine, if not good to eat the skin. Somehow I don't see people in biblical times throwing away the skin especially when it gives the meat more flavor.
