Dear Reader,

Are the scriptures chosen by U. S. Presidents for the Inauguration ceremonies indicative of their foreign policy towards Israel? Mike Evans delves into this subject in his new book, The American Prophecies, soon to be released by Time Warner.


One American President placed his hand on a Bible opened to I Corinthians 13:1: "If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal." Yet as tragic as it sounds, for almost a decade before the beginning of World War II, that American President hardened his heart to the cries of the Jews who wanted to immigrate to America.
The same President refused to support the rebirth of the nation of Israel, which would have saved the lives of millions of Jews. I believe World War II would never have been fought, and God would have divinely intervened, had the President recognized the state of Israel, and had not closed the doors of America to Jews. "I will bless them that bless thee..."

Why did he not do it? He was attempting to appease the Arabs. President Roosevelt's words are painfully revealed in a meeting that he held with Stalin just before he met with King Saud of Saudi Arabia. Stalin asked what Roosevelt planned to give King Saud. Roosevelt joked that he might offer the king the six million Jews in the United States. Stalin went into an anti-Semitic diatribe.

Days later, Roosevelt met with King Saud and pledged to him to "do nothing to assist the Jews against the Arabs, and would make no move hostile to the Arab people." Roosevelt's meeting was on Valentine's Day. Within weeks of returning from that meeting, Franklin Delano Roosevelt died.

A collision course between two ancient brothers, Ishmael and Isaac, Jew and Arab, and America was set in concrete on that day in 1935.(1) This unholy covenant was cut to sacrifice the Jews to appease Arab rage, and has become an apocalyptic plague threatening the peace of the world. It struck at the heart of America on 9/11.

No, it wasn't just because of oil; Roosevelt did it because he was hoping the Arab League would not become pro-Nazi. He felt the only way he could guarantee that was to sacrifice the Jews. He was wrong on both counts!
