Very interesting link.

I find it very interesting that these single-celled parasites (not bacterias) often cohabit with candida. The theory is that they eat the good bacterias, leaving yeasts and other nasty things to survive.

Digestive enzymes might help with parasites as well as with candida.
We often hear of the protease properties but here is something I found about lipase:

"Fat-digesting enzymes may be helpful in treating Blastocystis. When studied under the microscope, Blastocystis seems to have a fatty reservoir. Fat-splitting or fat-digesting enzymes are helpful to dissolve some of the Blastocystis and weaken it, thereby allowing other remedies to be more effective."

Something noticeable is that many tropical fruits have antimicrobial defense. We all know about the properties of coconuts. Pineapples, papaya and kiwifruit and known to be high in proteolytic enzymes; I think it is a method of defense.
