The tail and head seem to be a challenge on this little invader. The ends of the worms on the lower lips seem to always get torn. Have been trying for quite some time to get a decent photo. Here are few of the ones, I've been able to catch on a slide:
Thank you for all your tips - especially on how the different ones dry!
What else is possible to take besides DEC? While doing your protocol (so I ramped up on my level of DEC, etc.) after some time of taking it, I experienced similar symptoms to the woman in your protocol. I had hallucinations during the night and in the morning had tremors throughout hands and arms. Husband said I was even having upper body tremors while I slept. The doctor was no help. It took several weeks for most of the tremors to go away. I also woke up with my first post vitreous detachment that sent me to the eye doctor (now have had one in my other eye). Like you, I have these things in my eyes. Your worm looked purple or blue in color. The adults in my eyes are transparent and pretty long, but the larvae are big white and puffy in the eye. There is a great article (https://parasitesandvectors.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/1756-3305-4-41/tables/1) on where the different worms live in the eyes. So, I was pretty sure it was a toxocara canis of some sort, but I'm not sure about the sizes. They are living in the eyebrows and eyelids, aqueous humor and vitreous. Worked in the Ophthalmology field for a while. When I extend both upper eyelids I can see the larger white larvae sitting around the eyeball. Found a nest under the left upper eyelid toward the corner of the eye. I have my ways of getting them out, but seem unable to kill them off. Pain behind left eye occasionally - take Ivermectin that seems to help. But getting them out is usually what really helps. I was thinking Strongyloid but these worms love to eat my eyelashes and eyelids. They suck the medulla dry - it literally turns white - I have images of them doing it. Half the hair shaft shows brown medulla and the upper half, is white. Then the whole hair turns white and falls out. I have worked very hard at eliminating them in my eyebrows and upper eyelids. The larvae like to travel at night. I'm not scared of them any more. For a long time, these things in my eyes were scary. But I have an idea of what I'm fighting and I have faith in God that He hears my prayers and will be with me through all this.
So, the big reason I liked your protocol was that it targeted both flukes and ascarids, but my experience with DEC interrupted it. Need to kill these things any idea what can kill the filaria ones besides DEC? Also, idea of the ones in my photos - all are microscopic.
I did try the peppermint oil caps - but nothing seemed to change. Have not tried the Castor oil caps. Have you tried them frozen? Another user was posting about it.
Thanks again for all your help and suggestions! Btw, hadn't thought of those prior worms as being ecto parasite - makes sense. I had some many different flukes at the time (have killed so many!) that I thought it was one of the fluke stages. Going to proceed differently now.
