Your approach sounds good. Let us know how it goes :)
A full tablespoon worked better for me. It caused a little cramping, but that's to be expected with large amounts of castor oil.
I'm glad to meet another fellow traveller. It's good to compare and help each other out.
From what I've seen and heard, IBS, candida, parasites, and leaky gut are all related. parasites and candida both create hostile environments that weaken the immune system and allow other pathogens to take root. IBS, Crohns, and leaky gut are the direct result of parasites. Doctors misdiagnose them and prescribe steroids or other immune suppressants that make the situation worse. I think we all know instinctively when something is wrong within our bodies. Thankfully the internet is awash with information :D
Do you take probiotics like kefir, sauerkraut, and yogurt? They help combat IBS, Candida etc. Full fat yogurt (sugar free) even works as a carrier for gum Turpentine apparently. Pine flavoured yogurt yum!
I can sympathise with the expensive herbs taking too long. I've tried a lot of things myself, including Papaya+seeds (good but not a cure for me), asafoedida (hard to find unadulterated sources), Vidanga (embelia ribes) and many others. On the other hand Diamond G gum Turpentine is quite cheap and easy to get hold of.
Here's an old medical journal from 1842 you might find of interest that describes treatment with turpentine:
