This is the most excited I've been in a LONG time during my detox journey!
I have been sitting at 32 inches around my waist for almost 15 years (on and off, of course)!
Before I married at 25 and went on the pill, my waist was 28". Within 6 months, it went up to 32".
The pill is massively acidic. I am apple shaped. My hips are only 39-41", and I'm 5'-8". These acidic toxins get stored in visceral fat around the waist. The more fat you accumulate there, the more your hormones go out of wack, especially cortisol (stress hormones). It can lead to even more weight gain.
Why have I finally dropped an inch off my visceral fat? Because my alkalinity has gone up! It's taken 2 years of detox to get here because those minerals are used first to repair vital organs - the brain, liver, heart, kidneys, lungs ect. Only when there is enough alkalinity to neutralize toxins in stored fat, will the body safely release them into the bloodstream.
When my waist was 39", this was not all fat. I was bloated from irritating foods like sugar, MSG, gluten, dairy and animal proteins. Plus when these foods didn't move through fast enough (not pooing 3 times a day- after meals), they accumulate. I may have been carrying around 5-10 pounds of old poo.
Before I started my detox journey, and long before I had chronic fatigue, I would maintain my weight at 140 pounds, with a 32 inch waist.
After CF, my weight went up to 158 lbs. But here's my little rant:
Weight doesn't matter!
At 158 lbs, my waist was both 32" and 39"!
At 140 lbs, my waist was both 32" and 39"!
Only at 125 lbs, my waist was consistently at 32". Why? Because at 125 lbs, I was eating almost NOTHING that would stick around (make me constipated), or irritate my digestive track. So there was no swelling.
I look almost the same at 158lbs and 125lbs, as long as my waist was 32"!
Our figure has nothing to do with the scale, but about what our body loves, and considers healthy!
Eventually, I hope to get down to 26"! At my healthiest, in my early 20's when I was super fit, doing gymnastics, with a massively tight core, I was 26". That would be the ultimate!
