parasites come in many different forms with nematodes being the most discussed on this forum. Nematodes are generally thought in terms of roundworms and these are pretty much treated the same. There are many different types of roundworm with Ascaris being the more popular ones.

Roundworms have distinct tapered heads (or tails) and they will not stay formed after removal from the body (they disintegrate unless preserved). They are not irregular meaning they have distinct cylindrical shapes.

Many people misinterpret mucoid plaque for worms. However this does not mean you do not have parasites.

There are many pathogens that can inhabit the gut, nematodes being one. Rogue bacteria, yeast/fungal strains, protozoa parasites, trematodes and viral infections are the others.

In general terms, treatment for each one of these grouping has differences in protocols. Using general suggestions found in forums is not specific enough IMO.

It would be probably be a good idea to get tested rather than chasing remedies IMO. http://patrickrambling-pb.blogspot.com/2012/12/lessons-from-parasites.html
