My diet is far from perfect but has improved significantly since last September.
I never did drink caffeine as I was always preferred cold squash drink (not fizzy) but now just drink bottled water and 1 green tea a day 9through a straw).

I do cook from scratch and eat lots of vegetable which I never used to eat.

I am in general good health and on no medication, most of the gum recession is due to brushing too hard for many, many years but at age 50 some maybe because of age too.

I do like to brush my teeth twice a day but I try to be careful around the gums.
