I think the best way to keep the virus dormant (latent) is by increasing host resistance to it. This can be done by mediation, proper diet and exercise etc... This is also recommended to cancer patients even if they were treated with conventional ways. After all cancer is viral disease and all ontological therapies should be targeted to boost host resistance and prolong dormancy. During dormancy tumor might become too small to be detected by current means or stop growing. Patients feel healthy during tumor dormancy.
