I investigated this triclosan stuff. It is in Dawn dishwashing soap, Ajax dishwashing soap and other soaps available at your local grocery or Amazon. Have no idea about the percentage of triclosan in any of these.
Aside from buying from the one seller I could see on e-bay, the only other way to get pure triclosan powder is in bulk from either China or some U.S. companies, though from my brief research, the quantity one would have to purchase domestically is prohibitive both cost wise and practically speaking, what would anyone do with 100 tons of triclosan?
I gave the Dawn dishwashing liquid a go and I have to say it seems to be working thus far. Huge lumps on my face from whatever mite or genetically created (cotton parasite), organism have diminished significantly. Still too early to tell if this will eradicate my mite/other parasite issue, but I am tempted to try the pure powder.
Going to run some laundry in Dawn and see what happens.
Borax has really helped, though if clothes are not worn right away, I have to iron the clean ones or suffer bites and itching from some, but not all cleaned clothes. Strange how this thing infects some clothing really badly and not others.
