I do deworm annually - a two week course of pharma med. I avoid things like sushi , pets - have a dog and he does get dewormed regularily, and whatever else can be an issue - swimming in lakes rivers eating questionable foods etc. Definately is a thought for travel and life in general as I am going to be more open to diseases etc. My issue is rare and there is a few options for management( Igg replacement therapy) not cure. I was super sick during the parasite infection with that and other infections ( needing some surgeries and lost a portion of my hearing due to infections)now doing well. honestly I dont look sick you would never know it unless I told you. It is very well hidden but it affects the whole body- I use an integrative approach to health care- some things are too far out there for my liking I follow a more balanced approach
