You may be experiencing auto infection from a strongyle type roundworm as this is their normal cycle in fall and spring . Hyperinfection is when the population of the parasite increases so rapidly , malabsorption , anemia , jaundice , etc follow. As this is an active time for them an Elisa blood test can possibly confirm this if ordered by your doctor.
