That stuff looks like mucous (gag), but like I said earlier you never know what else is in there, it could be candida albicans, some other candida, it could be literally any type of bacteria or parasite as well.

For the burning try a simple alkalizing drink, you can look up recipes. Even alka seltzer gold can work.
