I believe I got the parasites from when I was 100% raw vegan…about 11 years ago. My white blood cell count and symptoms all pointed to parasites at that time (about a year into being raw vegan) but because none showed up in my stool, was told it was a food allergy . Fast forward to 6 months ago, I had one of the worst cases my alternative doctor ever saw and treated. Thankfully I'm better now. I've continued being vegan and still do a lot of raw but after all of this I wash all my veggies in hydrogen peroxide and purified water very thoroughly. It is thought that the soil and lack of really cleaning raw foods contributed to my situation.
