You should absolutely pay attention to your body regardless of what you are doing.
However the fact that your gums are already bleeding indicates some infection, and bacteria present. Water by itself isn't going to do what water mixed with H202 is going to do because it is an anti bacterial agent that will clean out the gunk that is causing the gums to bleed.
My Water pik has a dial that goes from 1 to 10 for pressure. I think most do. My gums being in good shape, I use 10. You could start out on 1, then progress as needed.
Another thing, Dr. Levy in the first video where I learned about this said to put a splash of H202 in with the water. I found out soon that "slash wasn't enough so I upped it. It's only 3% to start with so if you put a splash in the tank, it won't be strong enough to do much good, but you could start out low and increase as you felt it was okay.
I suggest you do need some to kill the bacteria, but how much is up to you. The H202 that they sell in the drug store has fillers and other stuff, so buy the regular, or buy 35% and dilute it. 11Oz of distilled water to 1 Oz of H202.
Get back to us and let us know how it went. Somebody else might have a similar problem.
Oh yea the article said if you see blood, don't be alarmed, keep after it.
