Hi, Here are a few links to rebuke this person who appears to not know much about parasite infections in the US.
Straight from the CDC themselves - neglexted parasite infections in the US. If thus person has a consious she might feel like an idiot after reading that - http://www.cdc.gov/media/DPK/2014/dpk-npi.html
Study about strongyloides and steroids hyperinflation - bam - http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2860402/
"While the presence of an increased AEC in a refugee is highly suggestive of current or recent infection with a tissue-invasive parasite, the absence of eosinophilia does not indicate lack of parasitic infection [1, 2]. Not all parasitic infections cause eosinophilia. For example, the human host does not always mount an eosinophilic response to tissue-invasive parasites. Non-tissue invasive parasites such as protozoa (e.g. giardia and ameba) do not normally illicit an eosinophilic response." -http://refugeehealthta.org/physical-mental-health/health-conditions/infectious-diseases/parasites/eosinophilia/
Also I wouldn't waste too much time with medical idiots personally. Keep in mind you can order a variety of parasite meds online if you think you know what you are fighting. Good luck.
