The problem is that it is very dangerous to leave patients to treat themselves with herbals. Herbals should not be used for parasites that scatter like strongyloides in the early stages of treatment. That is how people end up moving to the advanced scattering. Only anti parasitics should be used. So we need a doctor. I mean sometimes they say there is a 90% death rate from strongyloides hyperinfection if not treated.

India is far ahead of the approach here. People can get access to these drugs at their local stores and they know how to use them. Everybody uses them.

Our infectious disease doctors that treat parasites spend their time kicking people in the teeth. I can think of better use of tax dollars that result in a better outcome.
