jurplesman, i recently started a very aggressive cleanse to remove candida overgrowth, and the first things i noticed were greatly improved sleep, and a dramatic reduction in my anxiety levels.

when i drank heavily, many years ago, i was often self-medicating these very same problems.

i'm pretty sure the fungal overgrowth had been impairing my vagal nerve tone. now my parasympathetic function has really come back into balance. i'm able to relax and digest better, i can perspire, my blood pressure is lower, mood is improved, etc.

given how sugars from alcohol feed candida, how much of detoxing from alcohol may be accomplished with a similar antifungal protocol, in the later stages of recovery when the physical withdrawal is over? thanks.
