I think everyone can be prone to a parasite infection... but some people's immune systems will attack and flush out invading ova before it hatches into a parasite/worm. I think its more luck than anything.
A common theme I'm noticing here is that those of us who are pooping out worms are also pooping out a lot of mucous and what appears to be candida. It's said that all this junk in us is what they nest in and I personally have only twice expelled a worm without mucous or candida... and that wasn't on my own.. but with an enema. Every other time the worm (singular, not plural because i can only get them out one at a time it seems) is stuck in some kind of intestinal junk.
So it makes you wonder. Also worth noting... there are 6 members in my family. Only 1 showed symptoms. All 6 were treated with albenza but only 3 of us expelled worms - possibly 4 but we'll never know the truth. Anyway, my 2 teenagers have not gotten infected even though we all share living space and bathrooms. Either this is because they didn't join us at the park where i suspect the infection came from... or they just have really good immune systems. I would think that my house would've been an infection zone prior to finding out and steam blasting and cloroxing everything...
