I had a similar problem to an earlier poster who said that whilst initially glycemic control was good on the SCD, eventually it went haywire again.
Personally, I really believe the surge in diabetes is down to paradites. Yes, the Western diet exacerbates it, and may well set up an environment the bugs can thrive in, but it's not the whole story.
Since the rise started, people have stopped de-worming. They de-worm their pets and livestock on a regular basis without any concept that they too could be harbouring unwanted squatters.
You only need to go back 50 or 60 years to a point where your great-grandmother would regularly give her kids a good dose of castor oil to clean them out. Who does that nowadays?
I am 56 and I believe I've been harbouring parasites for over 40 years. I lost my energy around the age of 15 and developed weight gain that has proved very hard to shift even on a very low carb diet.
Whilst I had suspected it for a while I couldnt prove it. In the lat two months they have become very evident. I can feel them in my gut (possibly tapes) and in my back and up into my scalp and face. Probably all over my body.
I have thrown virtually everything at them natural remedy-wise, and have now resorted to Mebendazole. Whilst it won't get them all, it's the only drug the doctor could give me without proof. How much it will help I haven't a clue. On the 2nd day of a three day dose, and will do it twice more in 14 day increments, followed by more Black-Walnut , cloves, etc., to get the eggs and larva. I'm also taking bromelain and digestive enzymes to try and ensure that I get the benefit of my food and supplements rather than them. I too believe its a nutrition thing.
It's a battle I've no intention of losing.
