I have not always taken vitamin C to the level of bowel tolerance, but have definitely done so on occasion.

I have been to a doctor 3 times in the pas 13 years.

The first was when I was bitten by a cottenmouth snake ( water moccasin ), Once to have a cancer lesion removed, and once for a sonoplasty. I do not thing that taking any more vitamin C would have had any effect on any of these 3 visits.

I absolutely agree. During the period which I was taking Vitamin C to the level of Bowel tolerance, I had several intestinal parasites which remained until a very successful zapping. While it did have some benefit in regards to colds, it did not stop them.

I am still grinding away, yep, back to the daily grind.
