Why it's reacting to oil I don't know, but it's entirely possible to have mucor which includes thousands of species of fungal slime molds. I think we are constantly colonized whether we are immune compromised or not. Some ~could~ be beneficial even.

Here's an image taken of an unusual pattern that arose on my cheek while using the parasite paste:




Months later I came across this pic of a slime mold that looks like it!
