Gosh Terri you have been through an awful time.
Did you approach your "friend" about the stolen goods? How awful and upsetting for you.
When you talked about the old house and the squirrels in the roof, it did make me think its possible a parasite could easily be picked up. These creatures harbour round worms I believe loads of other parasites. Its really easy to pick up worms from these creatures, their droppings and larvae they leave behind. Anyone living with mice, rats and other vermin are also at risk. My area is very rat and mice prone and they like to get into the heating ducts which then pushes all the pathogens around in the air. So I do sympathise greatly with you.
But the pressure in the head is something that wouldn't happen acutely from round worm infection... it seems something else was picked up from that house....
As you can understand, its almost impossible to diagnose, even with the "best" medical tests, and impossible to do this remotely. Its just guess work... but living with squirrels is not a good thing. Its good that you are away from it now.
Prazi targets flukes and tape worms. Again, check out ICU's protocols which are here in the forum (just type in ICU into the search engine) which are very well researched and tell you exactly how much you need to take and for how long. Usually doctors give you the smallest amounts which are insufficient. You asked about chewing albendazole.. Yes you do need to chew it to a fine powder but more importantly is taking it with a very fatty meal each time. It will not work unless taken with a fatty meal... and sometimes a few rounds are needed to clear infection of deciminated round worms, and larave and eggs from other species in the body. You could also ask for mebendazole which is less toxic but it only works in the intestines.
