A little background: I sleep in the day (vampire), so I need to have darkness. It's not easy sealing every light source, but I generally rest well enough. When I have problems sleeping, I resort to melatonin or something else like food/water. If those don't help, I wake up and stay up. I usually sleep 4-5 hours and wake up for one thing or another, like some loud car/truck passing by.

I finally decided to try grounding to some degree today. I woke up after 5 hours and couldn't get back to sleep. So I rigged an antistatic wrist strap to a grounded wall outlet after a few minutes by scrapping some parts. I don't know if it was placebo effect, but I slept and dreamt for a few more hours. Since this is the first time, I'll try many more times and report back the results.

Regardless, it worked the first time to relax my body and get a few more hours of sleep.
