Agreed, the absolute best method is using a 4 point contact system with 3 points positive and only one negative contact. Doing it this way would, at least theoretically, cause an migration to be toward the hand with the negative contact. On the next cycle, switching the electrodes from one hand to the other would get any organisms that accumulated near the area where the previous negative electrode was concentrated. Also, switching hands can confuse their migration efforts. This method should also help keep parasites from traveling to the head area as it is more positive than the hand with the negative electrode.
I have known of a few users with Toxoplasma ( which concentrates in the brain ) to report success with this method, giving an indication that the brain can be reached without applying energy directly to the head.
Again, the important thing about using footpads and paddles together is that 3 points must be positive rather than having 2 negatives which some sellers provide due to not understanding the dynamics of zapping.
Another aspect that is important is getting the exact right frequencies applied which is one reason that many zappers are not as effective. They are too general purpose and not specific enough. This is where multimode, multifrequency zappers may be better, but not perfect as of yet. Expect to see some new improved zappers in the near future.
