I want to emphasize what Newport said about ALA and add a little more:
it is a chelator of heavy metals
it can cross the blood brain barrier
if your body burden is higher than your brain burden of heavy metals you can possibly move more metals into your brain
Cutler is really clear that you do not want to chelate at all until your silver fillings (amalgams) are removed.
Cutler is also dead set against taking chlorella and cilantro if you are metal toxic. They are both weak chelators and are really good at bumping metals around in your body. ALA and DMSA are strong chelators and more likely to hang on to the metals long enough for you to excrete them.
You might consider getting a Doctor's Data hair test and using Cutler's counting rules to check for heavy metals as a possibility.
cleaning up detox pathways can be useful:
liver kidneys parasites colon stuff
I am not an expert with that stuff so I won't make any suggestions here, I am in process on that myself
taking psyllium and Bentonite away from food as a binder of toxins could be a good thing to add
I am thinking about Liver Flushes and even coffee enemas but I am a little nervous to recommend them for you since you are so apparently toxic. Maybe some water enemas or buy yourself a colema type board for home colon cleansing????? You want to make sure things are moving out........
