I too have been with Dr. Dean; along with my family since he has been in practice and there is no way I buy this story. First, his demeanor toward me of my family has never been anything but caring, friendly and beyond professional. He has gone way out of his way to assist us many times and severl in last minute needs. I have sent many friends and clients to see him over the years and they rave over his handling of their needs. Second, if the shoulder was in such pain then it would have been known it before the last minute and if a refill was needed, that is something that can be called in to a pharmacy. A doctor can't be held responsible ignorance in not paying attention to prescription levels. If it was for a new prescription, no doctor is just going to shoot a prescription out to someone without seeing them, no matter how long they have been seeing them as a client. That is simply against the law. If they were relayed directly to the Dr. on a last minute basis before a holiday chances are he was slammed with other last minute patients that were smart enough to get appointments. There are so many holes in this story that either this person was obstinate and rude or were suspected of abusing the pain killers and either way no one would go out of their way handle them. Being a pain in the butt doesn’t equal service. Finally if it was so incredibly intolerable, pay attention and take responsibility to your meds or go to the hospital also shoulder injuries are referred to Orthopedic specialists for treatments.
