Sorry I was gone so long. Am renovating old house on top of all this and the dirt must be cleaned after the guys do a lot of work. The fibers have gotten in to the old plaster.

Crap, sorry you are feeling so bad.I was just thinking you may have morgellons based on your last message. I thought I had those mites too because of exactly what you described. I thought bird or rat mites because of old bird nest and having mice ( in the old house I bought they are gone now...poison! ha!). Do you have any nodules? That is where the fibers are on me. Some of the bites turn to nodules where the parasite lives.

I do not have fibers growing out of my skin or open lesions ever. I have bites and the fibers are in the bites and do not come out unless I dig them out. When they come out they are these larva things or white cocoons with one fiber down the center just like a worm that has made a cocoon. I find these all over the house. I found that when I have an itch I can use clear tape and something always comes off on the tape. It is a good way to find the fibers. If not in a cocoon yet they are just clear so very hard to see.

Do you have a microscope or loop? I just have a 12x loop from carson http://www.carsonoptical.com/Magnifiers/Loupes/DV-30.
If you get that and have morgellons you will find the fibers. Only $10.00. It was a big part of me figuring out it was morgellons because what I found looked like what was on line on morgellons web sites.

In the car try the menthol crystals it worked great for even my bedroom, just getting the fibers out of the air and many people have had success clearing it from the car with that. I sit on one plastic chair. Clean it once a day. Vacuum once a week and mop. I clean the computer once a day and vacuum the computer desk once a week. I sprayed the walls and ceilings with a mix of DE alcohol dish soap and water ( see my post in response to sue10 cleaning issues ) which stays and keeps them stuck instead of attacking me. I keep my feet up in the chair and never am attacked there anymore. bed and clothes as you have seen are still issue I am working through ideas. I find when i have an itch I can rub my skin hard and some crystal type goo will roll of with a single fiber sometimes. The fibers cause the itch, moving on the skin. The the itch stops after I roll off the fiber and goo.

Good luck with the sheets, I will let you know if I have any breakthroughs.

The money is outrageous. I hope they figure out who did this because I have a big bill I am going to send with my lawyer.
