How frightening for you--- I don't think I could ever touch ES again after this experience. It sounds like those of us who tend towards low sodium (see Cyrulis's response above) and have adrenal fatigue put ourselves at risk when we take ES, especially the full dose. I'm glad to hear you feel good at the end of the cycle-- I'm not there yet-- still feeling weakened.
There must be a way to cleanse on not risk a life threatening electrolyte imbalance. I'm probably going to stick with chanca piedra to break my stones, and some longer term dietary measures for now. If I ever do a liver/gallbladder flush, it will probably be a non-ES flush. I don't want to risk being in critical condition in an ER again (BTW, they wanted to test me for parasites when I told them why I was taking the herbs--- they never got their chance, though).
