That is because Lyme is misunderstood...

Most carry the Lyme spirochete and as we have seen some of those cause local immune suppression. In the case of Tizona you can see the B.Garinii, which is the only one without infectious plasmids, lower local immunity in large joints and brain.
These symptoms are NOT clasical Lyme disease but since no one looks for Bg they are deemed age related.

What it comes down to is percentage of mitrochondrial cells infected. Most walk around with less than 1% which gives just a slighlty lowered immunity. At 3% things get deeper and more serious and large parasites are collected. At above 7% one is in the Doctors office with non specific issues or on CZ hunting down a solution.

Of course these things all work together, so those who got Crassiceps with the MMR are worse than the others. Those that got SV40 are another step down.
