I recently switched to another brand of triphala from nature's way. This triphala does have a stimulant effect on me with slight diarrhea. Two other brands I have tried in the past has not had that effect at all. I have read that that is an effect that triphala can cause, so does that mean that the brand I am using now is a purer triphala? It also has less mg than my other brands tried.

If triphala is causing this effect, how is it not a stimulant also? I have been taking nature's harmony stomach ease every now and then lately and it has been very gentle without seeming like a stimulant or causing any noticable problems. It does contain cascara and senna, but not feeling the stimulant reaction which I don't want.

I know I am suppose to do the bitters and tmg, but tmg is too much of a nerve stimulant for me, and no luck with bitters so far except for worsening of symptoms, but I can work with it at low doses. Kefir and probiotics are out for me too.
