there's a lot of anger in this world -- and many "sociallly accepted" ways of dealing w/it -- including ways for children. Evidently what you did was considered "normal" (whatever that is). I used to hear about stuff my brothers did (melting and/or exploding ants under a magnifying glass/ sticking bugs in the tar and then heating it up w/the magnifying glass, etc.) -- I thought they were mean. They thought it was funny (or so they said) and really cool.

anger kept inside will cause disease within a healthy body. you took out some of your anger on that gila monster. You refused to connect w/the animal for probably a ton of reasons -- including some of your own.

what if somebody had sat you down . . . grownups tell kids lots of things -- we dont always listen ;) and often havent a clue what they are talking about anyway.

and, hopefully they also wld have given you lots of ways to deal w/your anger.

in the present == you can share by example. you can share what you have learned w/others now. we can change things -- one child/person at a time. Now is really what matters -- what you do now -- not what you did then. Be the change . . . (Gandhi)

not sure why you keep sharing stories about your bad self . . . is this part of the healing process? As a ptsd sufferer, i admit i still go ballistic on people. I dont let it define me. If other people want to -- that's their business.

God made people because God loves stories -- hebrew story.
