grassman is right. Nothing wrong. Mine never seems to clear; and when I add more water, it get stirred up again. I also occasionally take a tablespoon in a glass of water for help with possible parasites (which I don't think I have anymore) and to act as fiber to help with BMs.

It won't smell; unless you have something wrong with your water and your water smells. It is not organic; so it will not spoil. It won't decay. You can leave it in the water for months with no problem.
