...do NOT add Slippery Elm to your mix of Superfood!

The ratios of the Superfood are "correct"; if you add anything to the mix, then when you measure out your tablespoon, each tablespoon will have a wee bit less of each Superfood goodie...because the 'anything' that's been mixed in, takes up a little bit of space in the tablespoon.

So just measure out your Superfood, then ADD whatever amount of Slippery Elm you're going to use.

And remember - while Slippery Elm is FULL of great nutrition
(calcium, magnesium, copper, zinc, iodine, sodium, selenium and some potassium. It also contains phosphorus and vitamins A, B, C, D, E, F, K, and P).

BUT, it also has qualities (the healing, mucilaginous 'goo/slime') that heals virtually everything, anywhere it touches...AND (allegedly) is great for parasites because it makes the intestinal walls so 'slippery' they can't 'hang on' effectively (something that would be important if doing concentrated parasite killing - like the 3-5 days of 'hard hitting' with the herbs and then one day of flushing). In this case, adding/diluting it into a smoothie would lessen those particular actions of the Slippery Elm.

There are LOTS of options (time allowing, of course) for making the porridge. It's MUCH better mixed with juice than with water (apparently apple juice is fantastic, especially when cinnamon/nutmeg & other sweetener is added). Someone mentioned not too long ago they'd been mixing theirs with coconut milk - and that sounds seriously yummy (although that might be too much 'fat' for some to do several times a day - but excellent if 'underweight' is an issue).

Slime ON! :o)
