Egg laying worms emit hormones to prevent the eggs from hatching out until the mother dies, so she doesn't have to compete with her babies for food. One female can lay 200K egs per day. If you kill a female, her eggs will start hatching in a couple of weeks. That is why it is sooooooo very important to follow up with regular cleansing as routine maintenance, to kill of the larva, before they have a chance to start laying eggs too. Otherwise the problem can grow exponentially.

I am tired of fighting the “scattering crowd” week after week but since you so nicely laid this out I like to add one more item.
They will die anyhow; the longest lifespan from what I have seen so far is F.Buski of 7-10 years. This means that if a herb causes scattering so will living for longer than the parasites lifecycle.
