I'm very sorry to hear about your friend's son. While it is true that not all the causes of epilepsy and seizures are known, it is known that allergies definitely can and do trigger seizures. I have personal experiences with this, so believe me when I say that it is true. Hayfever, sinusitis and fever can soon be followed by a seizure. The fact that the patient has sinus problems can already be an indicator of allergies.

It is therefore imperative to treat the allergies, if any, if the seizures are to stop. It is extremely important that the patient also drinks plenty of water and remains very well hydrated. Also, if a natural treatment is sought, then you should know that natural treatment cannot be started without first detoxifying the body as toxins and parasites are also a trigger. I would recommend a herbal colon cleanse, followed immediately by a liver cleanse and then a kidney cleanse. Once that is done, treatment for the specific problems can begin.

I am aware that the patient is on pharmaceutical medication to help control his seizures and he should not stop taking this medication. Seeing though, that the medication is not enough to stop the seizures entirely, a herbal nervine and anticonvulsant should be considered in this case. Caution should be taken to ensure that the herbal medicines do not interact with his pharmaceutical medications, though. Also, herbal anticonvulsants in the form of a tincture may carefully be administered while a patient is having a seizure to stop the seizure.

In closing, it would also be my very strong advice that your friend seeks the aid of a professional herbalist to guide and monitor the treatment as epilepsy can prove fatal if not controlled properly.
