Hi Terry!
Unfortunately some people do experience this reaction with HCL...glad the pancreatin has helped though.
When you do the enemas are you only doing one? The acidopholus may be causing some die-off if candida is present and creating a lot of gas...which can be painful. I would suggest that you try purified or distilled water enemas and see if that makes a difference. Also, you may need to do a few of them consecutively to clear out a significant amount of material and gas. My guess is that one enema gets things moving in your intestines, but doesn't get enough out...this is where colonics fas surpass the effectiveness of enemas.
No surprise about the grains making you tired...they convert to sugars when digested. You might want to give some less common grains a try...millet, buckwheat, quinoa, etc. Can you handle fermented soy products...tempeh or miso? And what about nut-butters? Hummous? Yogurt? Spirulina is a pretty good protein source that you can take in caps or mix the powder in juices, smoothies, etc. There is also a product called SeaCure that is made from pre-digested white fish protein that has been found to be quite beneficial for healing the gut...Intestamend by Health From the Sun is a similar product.
As uncomfortable as it is...the fact that the pain moves around is probably a good sign that there is no major damage to any particular area of your colon. Gas can create a tremendous amount of discomfort...same with toxic fecal matter that is passing through the intestines. It could be a bacterial infection or imbalanced bacteria that has allowed pathogenic organisms to take hold...like candida or parasites. Give the parasite cleanse a try again...and try more than one enema at a time to maximize what you get out.
If you were in Chicago I'd get you in for a series of colonics!
