Hi Corrine,

I know this isn't what you want to hear, but MH is much more knowledgeable than I am, if he says wait, I'd wait. I have a lot of respect for his opinion. If you want to do the olive leaf and oregano oil, try very small amounts. I'm afraid that if you take enough of the herbal to kill the tape worm, it won't be good for the baby. The problem with tape worm is that you really get sick taking enough herbs to kill them off, and it isn't easy. If you have a heavy parasite load, it's going to suck to wait as long as you would like to, but at least you are pretty young to have found out about the rotteness of parasitic infections, you know what you have, and I bet when you wean the baby, you get rid of yours in record time.
As far as transmission to the baby, as long as you practice good personal hygene for yourself, you shouldn't transmit a tape worm to the baby. You sound like a very concerned parent, and I'm sure you do.
I am pretty much assuming that you either have a dog tape worm or a beef tape worm, can you give me any idea of whay you have? I'm kind of assuming that you've probably found tape worm segments in your stool. Am I correct?
When I got rid of mine, I was really just plain quite sick during the whole thing, and it took pretty heavy quanities of herbs to do it. I don't know much about the pharmaseuticals, I think lineup is pretty knowledgeable about them, you might ask his opinion. MH really does have a lot of expereince with this, sorry that I couldn't be more helpful.
Have you talked to your peditrician and your MD? I know if you have you probably got a pretty disappointing response, but keep at it, I'm sure there is a solution out there that will work for you. I really understand that you are between a rock and a hard place with this, and I am awfully sorry, I didn't mean to get your hopes up. What oil of oregeno and olive leaf will do will be to just slow down new hatched parasite larvae, it won't be enough to kill a worm. The are pretty tough nasty critters, sorry to say.
I really do wish you the best, sorry I don't have a better solution for you.
Julie
