You might want to read the posts a couple down about the microspordia... click on jessesmom post and look at her links -the medicine net link states ::: "Infection with microsporidia can cause blood in the urine, kidney failure, bladder inflammation, and bowel perforation. Microsporidia can also spread throughout the body to cause inflammation in the brain, pancreas, gallbladder, sinuses, and ears. Microsporidia have even been seen in muscle tissue."

The carb statement fits w/ either protozoan (microsporidian) or bacterial ((if you reference the SCD diet info, you will see many people are getting relief from carb reduction based upon the idea that many of them feed on these)

Your reference about the b6 et. al. is typical for immune activation. It is not so much that the parasites are comsuming these, it is that these critters evoke an immune response in which many nutrients become consumed in this response. B6 is a big immune helper as is b12 , I would suggest you try B2 it has helped me immensely (sp) it is very involved in the immune response (you may want to try a co=enzymated form of this). I would also suggest B5 (pantothenic acid) as it is heavily involved in immune response, adrenal support and gastrointestinal health.

Understand that the immune reactions are very strong, pulling resources from all biological systems and takes it toll on all parts of the body .. the endocrinological response is very involved in immune responses, so it is not untypical to see abnormal thyroid, adrenal, pituitary, hypothalmus, estrogen, testosterone, and pancreas abnormalities. I would suggest that adequate supplementation of all vits/minerals and protein should be adequately supplied during an immune assault. Herbs also provide a nice baseline for supportive, adaptive and cleansing activities.

I wouldn't be that concerned if the lab report comes back negative... many on this forum have submitted samples (including worm parts) that come back negative ... It is well known that most lab samples come back negative, these tests are highly unreliable. According to the horse vets, only 3-5% come back positive. So I think it is better just to treat without a firm dx.

I would start for treating the possible helminths, as these can be readily eradicated using the right methods. Then I would look at fluke infestations, then tackle possible protozoans and/or bacteria.

I would also think that a helminth infection could make the remaining symptoms make sense. These evoke very strong humoral immune responses (Th2) that really tax the entire body, oftentimes people can have asymptomatic repsponse, while others have very stong responses. As stated above, these responses evoke multiple responses from the body and may explain some of the other symptomology.
