I agree with you Glaxony, it would make it easier if he was closer to be able to check on regularly too.
It's not just the older people that it makes it hard to try to encourage to do any deworming when you know first-hand the dedication and trial it is to get through it yourself. My kids know how sick mom has been, and what I've been going through to get well...and will say they know they need to do something for killing parasites themselves- but yet, I'm with you. Unless a person is truly dedicated to sticking it out no matter how rough it gets, and making a committment to getting through it, I'm not so sure it's wise to even start.
It gives me a feeling of sadness too, because maybe it takes getting to the point of really being sick with them, and being tired of being sick with them that will bring a person to that point of being willing to do the colon cleansing, the enemas, stinking up the bathrooms because of killing the darned things and getting their rotting carcasses out of there. How many people are willing to even do the colon cleansing, especially people in their 20's. People are too busy being busy. But yet, it all goes hand in hand. I think the worst thing a person could do would be to "dabble" at it and not take it seriously, and like you said, quit when things get tough. It's definetly not easy.
Yet, it's also sad that so many of our young people could have a better quality of health in their life as they get older, if they could just be able to realize they could kill the parasites and not give them the chance to take over their bodies.
But, in today's world, if it's not "fun" and it's not "easy", who wants to do it? It's alot easier to not make any changes....until you absolutely have no choice.
