Hello Umbra,
I went online to a website written by either one or two author's Lee Carroll or Jan Tober. They have a book out first printed in May of 1999 called "the indigo Children The New Kids Have Arrived". The reason I ended up going in this direction was because I needed help with my son and something seemed to point me in this direction during some of the darkest moments. I needed him to "obey" me in order to raise him safely. Also teachers at school were making comments about him having some type of learning disorder but they were not sure "what" kind of disorder. I do have an appointment with a physchiatrist (spelling?) to have him carefully tested for any visual learning or other difficulties. I do not believe the 'doctor' will find anything but I will need this for possible "ammunition" when the school continues to be unhappy with my son's seeming unconformity. The older he gets the better he gets at getting along with everyone around him. (conforming?) It takes a large amount of energy to keep up with him but I am committed. He is constantly thinking and creating and this gets him into trouble without him realizing it. He is also easily pixelated and I severly limit his TV and game time because of this but these two categories have been my most powerful tool (reward) for helping him to teach himself self control. He will work for a goal much better than he will endure punishment/restriction. We are very strict in our family. Hope you find some answers.
