I can absolutely relate to you. I'm in my final year at school, I have the opportunity to go to one of the best universities in the country (not wishing to sound boastful) and I'm seriously considering giving it all up right now. I hate the way we're educated. It's so mechanical - there's no room for independent learning or personal exploration of subjects that interest US, we're just told what we need to know for the exams and we have to memorise it. 99% of what I've studied at school is NEVER going to be useful in my life. Never. Oh, and I find most of my teachers and fellow students almost intolerable, which doesn't exactly motivate me to go to school.
The "caste system" thing I also totally agree with. Today's celebrity worship? I don't get it! So what if you're a supermodel or a Hollywood actor or a millionaire? They're no better than others. Yet people put them on a pedestal.
I actually feel like we're living in an Orwellian society. We're controlled by the government, manipulated by the media, and discouraged from thinking for ourselves. Anyone who's a non-conformist is seen as "weird" or even dangerous. I'd like to leave this planet sometimes, I really would.
I'm getting into a rant here, and it's uncalled for. I digress.
One of the things that I've noticed happening between "Indigo" people is how often one will say something about how they feel/their beliefs, etc., and another will reply, "That's so weird, I feel EXACTLY the same!" I've certainly found that myself - I read things and they resonate so deeply with me. That only started happening recently, when I joined various Indigo/metaphysical message boards and got into discussions with like-minded people. Before that I felt completely alone and misunderstood, as if I was the only person like me on Earth. I'm seventeen. I haven't met a single person my age who I feel I have the slightest bit in common with. Thank goodness for the Internet, that's all I can say.
...Sorry if I sound a little extreme or intense. It's one of those days. ;-)
